rest-aurant
Around here everything turns into play. We play at washing dishes. We play clothes shop to get dressed. We play restaurant to set the table and get everyone in their seats for a meal. That last one especially, is make-believe she embraces every day, several times. It's one of the ways we get things done that need to be done.
This morning Naiya was a little cold so she brought her blanket down and laid snuggled up on the couch reading a book while I made her oatmeal. We hadn't spoken of the game, but when I came in to tell her it was breakfast time, her response was, "I like this restaurant. They even have somewhere to rest."
